Sunday 20th October 2024 we where in st Endellion.

As per normal the rain came down first thing but by 10am the sun came out and the rain stopped

Again we had some amazing finds

The first another piece of roman fibula with a small trace of original enamel left on it.

Here is the second one that came up on this day

We seem to be starting a theme here with two fibula coming up on digs..

A lovely unclipped silver hammered penny of Edward 1st for one lucky finder!

Continuing on with the medieval silver coins we have this rather scruffy cut half penny

Voided short cross of either Henry 2nd or Henry 3rd

Also this key possibly a post box key!

From the victorian period

And this possible victorian brooch with turquoise inserts

It's not just metal we find

We also come across lots of pottery etc laying on the surface

Like this beautiful piece here.

As normal we headed off at 9am

Another first hole day for someone and this little French silver coin came to light

It a French Louis xiv 4 sols 1677 Paris mint

Then there was this nice little signet ring

Jordan the happy finder with the ring

A nice horse brass from a local maker.

It's always nice to see a piece of local history come up!

A nice gold glided button

And other pieces found by the same detectorist

Including a barrel tap and brass petrol can cap

Also a pretty rare find with any detail left was this George 3rd half penny!
